About Polymer Chemistry

PolyScience2025 aims to shed light on new studies and groundbreaking technologies. This has sparked a lot of interest, with young researchers, business representatives, and bright student groups eager to take part.

We’re happy to invite you to the Polymer Chemistry Conference in Frankfurt, Germany on August 25–26, 2025. This special event will bring together top researchers, scientists, and business leaders from around the world to talk about the latest advances and discoveries in polymer chemistry.

Scientific Sessions

This session focuses on recent advancements in polymer synthesis techniques, including step-growth, chain-growth, and controlled/living polymerizations. Discussions cover new catalysts, reagents, and methods for precise molecular weight control, stereochemistry, and the synthesis of well-defined polymers. Participants explore various characterization techniques, including spectroscopic, chromatographic, and thermal analysis methods.

  • As environmental concerns increase, this session explores the development and application of biodegradable polymers, focusing on materials derived from renewable resources. It also examines strategies for designing polymers with controlled degradation profiles and the role of life-cycle assessments in determining polymer sustainability.

  •

Smart polymers capable of responding to external stimuli such as pH, temperature, or light are revolutionizing fields like medicine and robotics. This session discusses the chemistry behind these responsive materials and their applications in drug delivery, soft robotics, and self-healing materials.

Attendees will explore the physical behavior of polymers at different scales, from molecular dynamics to macroscopic properties. The session includes discussions on polymer morphology, phase transitions, rheology, and computational modeling techniques that predict the behavior of complex polymer systems.

Polymers play a critical role in surface engineering. This session addresses the chemistry and performance of polymers in coatings, adhesives, and sealants, with topics including the development of waterborne coatings, UV-curable systems, and high-performance adhesives for industrial applications.

This session focuses on the use of polymers as catalysts and functional materials in chemical reactions. Topics include polymer-supported catalysts, their role in green chemistry, and the development of functionalized polymers with catalytic activity for environmental and industrial applications.

Colloidal and emulsion systems are critical in fields such as coatings, pharmaceuticals, and food science. This session examines the synthesis, stabilization, and application of polymer colloids, with a focus on the properties of latexes, microgels, and polymer-surfactant systems.

The use of polymers in environmental protection and sustainability is an emerging field. This session covers the development of polymer-based materials for water purification, air filtration, soil remediation, and the capture of carbon dioxide, alongside discussions on eco-friendly polymeric solutions.
